Finish Your Organizer
Complete every box. Neat handwriting helps the webcam pick it up clearly. Color = bonus style points. 🎨
Open the Portal
Click the big button above to head to Assignments & Assessments, then find today's graphic organizer assignment.
Snap a Webcam Photo
Hit the upload button, tap Use Webcam, hold your paper flat, and say cheese! Chromebook will ask for camera permission — click Allow.
Turn It In
Preview your photo, re-take if it's blurry, then smash that Submit button. You'll see a confirmation — that's how you know you're done!
File It In Your ISN
Don’t toss it! Place the finished organizer into your ISN (Interactive Science Notebook) inside your AVID binder. Paper copy = backup + study tool.
Put the Paper in Your ISN
The digital photo gets you credit, but the paper copy lives in your Interactive Science Notebook inside your AVID binder. That’s how we review for tests, quizzes, and Cornell notes. No ISN, no study material.
📌 Glue or staple it
Attach the GO to the next blank right-side page of your ISN so it stays put.
✍️ Date it + number it
Write today’s date and the next page number in your ISN Table of Contents.
🎓 AVID binder home
Your ISN belongs in the Science section of your AVID binder — that’s where Dr. Ijezie checks.
Pro Tips for a Perfect Pic
Tiny tricks that make a huge difference
Lay your paper flat on the desk, tilt your Chromebook screen so the webcam looks straight down-ish, and make sure all four corners of your organizer are in the shot. If it looks blurry on the preview, just click re-take — no limit!
Before You Hit Submit
Quick self-check
- ✓My name (or alias) is on the organizer
- ✓Every section is filled in — no blank boxes
- ✓The photo is clear enough to read
- ✓I picked the correct assignment in the portal
- ✓I saw the confirmation message after submitting
- ✓I placed the paper GO in my ISN (inside my AVID binder)
Webcam Not Working?
Don't panic — try this first
🔒 Camera blocked?
Click the little camera icon in the Chrome address bar and choose Always allow.
💥 Black screen?
Close any other tab that might be using the camera (Meet, Zoom) and refresh the page.
